Mirabai Chanu's long-time coach Vijay Sharma was more relieved than delighted as his ward won a historic prize within the women's 49kg weight lifting event at the Tokyo Olympics.

Both Vijay and Mirabai had carried the memories of the Rio Olympics heartbreak from 5 years ago. After winning the Commonwealth Games silver in 2014, plenty was expected of the Manipuri weightlifter at the Rio Games 5 years ago.
